His Excellency the President, Hon. William Samoei Ruto, PhD., C.G.H., commissioned Nandi Hills Water Supply Project in Nandi Country on Saturday, the 17th August 2024.
The President was accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Eng. Eric Murithi Muga, EGH. The PS State Department for Water and Sanitation Julius Korir, CBS, Water Secretary Eng. SAO Alima, EBS, Hon. Stephen Sang Governor Nandi County, Chairman Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency (LVSWWDA) Odoyo Owidi and the CEO LVSWWDA Jackline Kemunto among other dignitaries.
Nandi Hills Water Supply Project was implemented by Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency with financial support from the African Development Bank and Government of Kenya under Kenya Towns. With its capacity of 2,500M3/day the project will serve over 28,000 people upon completion of Last mile connectivity in Kaplelmet, Kabikwen, Ket-Barak, Samoei University, Kosoiywo, Kaptien, Kabiriraang, Taito and Kateng in Nandi Hills Sub County, Nandi County.
