 Mazingira Day Celebrations

The Agency is proudly participating in the Regional Mazingira Day celebrations held at Lwala Kadawa Primary School in Kisumu County. We donated tree seedlings in support of environmental conservation. The event is a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services, the County Government of Kisumu, and other like-minded organizations.

The event has been officially presided over by CPA Carren Ageng’o, the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Children Services. Over 5,000 tree seedlings have been planted during the celebrations, contributing to the Government’s national forest restoration campaign, which aims to grow 50 million tree seedlings annually over the next 10 years.

This year’s Mazingira Day is being commemorated under the theme: “Citizen-Centric Tree Growing and Environmental Stewardship”, emphasizing the critical role of individual and community action in restoring and protecting Kenya’s natural environment.

The Agency remains committed to supporting sustainable environmental initiatives like tree planting that align with the Agency’s mandate.
