Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency handed nine vehicles to six counties to assist in water and sanitation delivery operations.
The counties include Kisii, Nyamira, Siaya, Homa Bay, Bomet and Migori.
The Agency released eight double cabin vehicles and an exhauster to five Water Service Providers.
Two Double Cabin Pick Ups were given to Migori Water and Sanitation Company, Siaya-Bondo Water and Sanitation Company, Homa Bay Water and Sanitation Company and Bomet Water and Sanitation Company. Gusii Water and Sanitation Company (Kisii & Nyamira) received a double cabin and a sewerage exhauster.
The flagging off ceremony was officiated by LVSWWDA Chairman Hon. Odoyo Owidi in the presence of the LVSWWDA CEO Ms. Jackline Kemunto, representatives of the respective Governors and Managing Directors of the Water Services Providers.
The Chairman urged the water companies to ensure the vehicles are properly managed and only utilized for the intended purposes.
