The Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation’s State Department of Water and Sanitation PS Dr. Paul K. Rono today joined the Labour and Social Protection CS Hon. Florence Bore during the launch of Tree Growing Campaign at Kimasian Polytechnic in Kericho County. The LVSWWDA Ag. CEO Mr Chrispine Juma, HSC, Kericho County Water CEC Ms. Rosemary Ropp among other dignitaries also participated in the event organized by Kenya Forest Service in partnership with other stakeholders.
The purpose of the exercise is to sensitize and enhance public awareness to galvanize local and national efforts towards the implementation of “The special presidential Forestry and Rangeland Restoration program to accelerate the achievement of 30% national tree cover”.
