Lake Victoria South

Nduta Pry School Borehole Water Supply Project is located in in Nduta Village within Homa Bay Sub County, Homa Bay County. The project was completed in October 2020 and implemented by Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency with the main objective to enhance access to reliable water supply for both human and livestock population within the target area. 

This project serves an estimated population of 1,100 people and it involved installation of a Pump set and Accessories, installation of Solar Structure and Modules, laying of a rising main, construction of borehole protection chamber, construction of a water kiosk, construction of 12m high steel tower and installation of 54,0000 litres pressed steel tank, distribution Pipes to water kiosk and 2 water points, fencing and installation of a gate.

A Project Management Committee are responsible for routine operation and maintenance of the project. They are responsible for management and sustainability of the project and ensure increased access to safe drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene and better water management to reduce risks of water-borne diseases and recreational accidents.
