The LVSWWDA organised a five day induction programme for its newly appointed Board Members in Nakuru. The induction started on Monday 3rd October, 2022 and will go on until Friday 7th October, 2022.
The two new Directors who were recently appointed Board Members of the Agency are Director Jeridah Mbaka and Director Joseph Okoto.
The induction programme aims to ensure the Directors have a clear understanding of the Agency including its mandate, strategic objectives, the various projects and programmes implemented by the Agency, the structure of the Agency, operations of the Agency and the role of the Board Members as per Mwongozo and other regulatory guidelines.
This is meant to empower the new Board Members discharge their mandate of giving policy direction and oversight to management.
The induction programme will be facilitated by experts from State Corporations Advisory Commitee (SCAC), Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), Public Service Commission (PSC), Officer of the Auditor General (OAG) among other state Agencies.
Speaking while officially opening the Workshop LVSWWDA Chairman Mr. Dan Omino, OGW formally welcomed the new Board Members into the family of the Agency and assured them of fruitful engagement during their tenure as Board members. He promised to continue steering the Board towards achievement of its mandate .
