
The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya H. E Hon. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH today commissioned two water projects implemented by LVSWWDA in Kericho County.
He commissioned Kenya Forestry College (KFS) Water Supply Project and Chepsir Water Supply Project.
He said the water would be enough to cater for the connected institutions.
The KFS project will supply over 100,000 litres of water per day, which will serve more than 2,500 people. The project is being implemented at a cost of KShs.10 million.
Majority of the beneficiaries will be from public institutions which include; Kenya Forestry College, Kenya Forestry Academy, Londiani Girls Secondary School, Kenya Forest Research Institute, Kericho County
Forestry Conservator. Two communal water points will be developed for use by the local community.
The Chepsir Water Supply Project will supply over 60,000 litres of water per day to approximately 1,300 persons. The project has been implemented at a cost of KShs.10 million.
Majority of the beneficiaries are from Chepsir Primary School, Chepsir Secondary School and the community around the two schools.
