Lake Victoria South

Aluor Secondary School Borehole Water Supply Project is located in Nyanonro Village within Konyango East sub location in Kabuoch location, Ndhiwa Sub County, Homa Bay County. The project was completed in December 2020 and was implemented by Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency(LVSWWDA). The project main objective is to enhance access to reliable water supply for both human and livestock population within the target area. 

Aluor Secondary School Borehole Water Supply Project serves an estimated population of 1200 people. The project has led to an increase in access to adequate and clean water for the primary and the local area residents, reduced distance covered by women and children in search of water for domestic use and improved hygiene within the area. 

The scope of the work done include installation of pump set and accessories, installation of Solar Structure and Modules, laying of a rising water distribution main, construction of borehole protection chamber, a water kiosk, 12m high steel tower and installation of 54,0000 liters pressed steel tank, distribution Pipes to water kiosk and 2 water points.
