LAUNCH OF LWANDA HEALTH CENTRE WATER SUPPLY PROJECT

The Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning, FCPA Hon. John Mbadi, has officially launched the drilling of the Lwanda Health Centre Water Supply Project in Gwasi, Homa Bay County. He was accompanied by LVSWWDA Chairman Mr. Joel Omino, OGW.

The borehole has been successfully drilled, and test pumping is currently underway to ascertain its yield. Once completed, the project will supply water to Lwanda Health Centre, Lwanda Primary School, and the surrounding community.

The water will be pumped to an elevated storage tank located at Lwanda Health Centre and distributed through a pipeline network. An outlet will also be provided to serve Lwanda Primary School and nearby residents.
In addition, a water kiosk will be constructed outside the health centre to provide easy access to safe water for the surrounding community.

The project is expected to benefit an estimated 3,200 people, significantly improving access to clean and reliable water in the area.
